Award winning concert pianist Julia Siciliano has most recently been engaged by the Macon Symphony Orchestra. A winner of many international competitions, she has won top prizes at the Heida Hermanns International, Iowa, MTNA National, Beethoven Sonata, Eastman Concerto and University of Michigan Concerto Competitions. Active as a chamber musician, Julia has been invited to perform with ensembles in the 2009 Fischoff International Chamber Music Competition, and was a prizewinner at the International Altenberg Piano Trio Competition. Notable chamber music performances include a broadcast on Chicago’s WFMT with violinist Yuan-Qing Yu, associate concertmaster of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Barbara Haffer, assistant principal cello of the Chicago Lyric Opera, and Metropolitan Opera bass-baritone Eric Owens. Ms. Siciliano holds a master’s degree from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Logan Skelton. She also studied with Nelita True at the Eastman School of Music, where she completed her bachelor’s degree.
