Notable performance: Mr. Sun was recently the soloist the the Juilliard Orchestra at Lincoln Center, playing Brahms’ first Piano Concerto.
Jun Sun was recognized early on when he was accepted to the prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music at the age of 9. In 2008 Mr. Sun matriculated at The Juilliard School and relocated to the States.
As a prizewinner of many international and national piano competitions, Mr. Sun won first place at the Asian Youth Music Piano Competition Shanghai Division in 2003 and 2005, first prize at the National Sander Piano Competition in 2005 and first place at the Shanghai Conservatory Mozart Concerto Competition in 2006. In February, Mr. Sun performed Brahms’ first Piano Concerto with Leon Fleisher conducting at The Juilliard School.
