Connie Kim-Sheng began piano lessons with her mother at just three years old. At The Glenn Gould School, Ms. Kim-Sheng has had the opportunity to perform in classes for Gary Graffman, Menahem Pressler, Leon Fleisher, and John O’Conor. As the winner of the concerto competition, she performed Rachmaninoff’s second concerto.
Ms. Kim-Sheng’s awards include first place in the Los Angeles Liszt International Competition, the 2009 Bronslaw Kaper Award given by the LA Philharmonic, second place in the concerto division of the Virginia Waring International Competition and finalist at the Eastman Young Artists International Competition.
Ms. Kim-Sheng was awarded the prestigious Davidson Fellows Scholarship and has been featured on NPR’s From the Top.
